Group Fitness Coordinator- Memorial Drive
Part Time Casual - 15 hours a week

We are looking for a passionate Group Fitness Coordinator who would love the opportunity to change people's lives within a premium health club environment?

 

The Group Fitness Coordinator will develop, coordinate and supervises the group exercise programs designed to deliver quality fitness programs for a range of members and to ensure Group Fitness Instructors are well trained in providing services that are safe and they are professionally delivered in accordance with fitness bodies and Next Gen requirements.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering all of the club’s fitness products and maximising member experience.  You will take responsibility for making sure the fitness products comply with brand standards at all times. 

 

You will have managerial duties and be responsible for regular one-to-ones with your team and use your skills and expertise to nurture and develop them to reach their personal best and together, deliver a positive Member Experience.

 

NOTE - this is a hands-on role – you will be an integral part of the Team when it comes to needing to be on the Gym Floor! 

 

Your Key Areas of Focus

  • Delivering a high quality member experience at all times;
  • Identifying and implementing new and innovative programs that supports Next Gen's position as a premium Fitness product;
  • Managing quality, cost control with the rostering of Fitness Instructors and Group Fitness
  • Driving member engagement through our social media channels
  • Providing leadership, motivation and innovation to the teams;
  • Recruiting, training and developing staff;
  • Proactively managing member feedback;
  • Ensuring the overall cleanliness and exceptional presentation of the health and fitness areas;

About You

  • A passion for member engagement and high quality customer service;
  • Proven ability to develop, propose and implement ideas;
  • Experience with setting and meeting performance targets and motivating staff;
  • Possess natural leadership qualities;
  • Strong interest and passionate about health & fitness industry;
  • The ability to managing, mentor and motivate staff;
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver no and innovate fitness programs
  • Extensive operational experience and team focused qualities.

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within the industry;
  • Tertiary qualification within the Health/Fitness and Management field is favourable;
  • First Aid & CPR;
  • Recognized health and fitness qualifications to a minimum level of Certificate IV including Registration with Fitness Australia
  • Working with Children clearance.
