Spectacular club environment Work for an organization with a team orientated culture Flexible working hours Next Gen Club Canberra is currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic casual Crèche & Kids Activity Attendant. Our aim is to provide a friendly, vibrant, safe, fun and rewarding environment for children. We are currently looking for someone who is flexible with their hours and is available to work additional hours during school holiday periods. We are currently prioritising candidates who can support our School Holiday Active Program during children's school breaks and holiday periods. A key focus of this role is helping to deliver fun, engaging and active experiences for children during these times. This role would ideally suit university students, education students, aspiring childcare professionals, or anyone looking for additional work during school holiday periods; however, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates. The crèche is open Monday to Saturday from 8.45am – 1:30pm. Additional hours will be available during the week for our other kids’ programs and throughout the year during school holidays when we run our School Holiday Active Program for children up to 12 years of age. We also run Kids Clubs, Sports Clubs and Kids Birthday Parties throughout the week and on Saturdays for children aged 6–12. Essential Criteria: - Current Working With Children Check;
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate;
- Anaphylaxis training/certificate (desirable);
- Experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality customer service; and
- Experience working with children aged 3 months to 4 years.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide the best possible standards of care;
- Ensure the environment is safe and secure, where children are valued as individuals through a caring and child-focused approach; and
- Deliver childcare in a way that meets parents’ needs and works in partnership with them, providing high levels of customer care at all times.
- Assist with the delivery of engaging school holiday activities, games and programs for children aged up to 12 years.
Please note: - It is a condition of employment with Next Gen Clubs that all employees undergo a Working With Vulnerable People Check.
- Flexible hours and days are required for this role, with increased availability during school holiday periods highly regarded.
- Proof of right to work in Australia documentation will be required to be presented at the first interview.
